Observations of '60s Quirks
I got to looking at the entry door hinges on our '64 Bambi II following one which had broken and I had repaired. Looking closely they were installed by the factory up side down with weight on the two-loop part rather than the three-loop side. These hinges were designed to be on the left side of the door rather that the right. They had to flip them over to mount on the right. No wonder one failed after 46 years.
Then there's two identical '65 Caravels I've looked at. The galley window is mounted 2 inches higher on one that the other.
Just some observations about handmade Airstream trailers.
Do others have similar observations
