68 window trim

Ok, so i broke one of those uber expensive curved windows on my 68 Tradewind and I'm now getting ready to put a new one together. I picked up the new glass, clips and window trim form VTS. I've cut everything to length, mitred corners and all, but it seems like I'm really forcing those straight pieces of trim on to the curved section of the glass and I don't want to break another window. Pre-bending them seems like it would/could cause some kinks. Any suggestions?

I replace one of my 68 tradewind windows last fall. Window came from vts, but the original trim wont fit. So you are saying that the vts trim won’t fit the replacement window? I was getting ready to order the trim for mine !!!

I have a 1966 tradewind which has the same designed Windows as yours. Mine has no window trim, just a naked curved glass with a flat fibber gasket glued to the edges of the window. Was easy to make little partial cuts in the bends.
