New PEX water line location, good or bad

Is this ok or not? I am about to embark down the "replumbing an airstream" road. Currently my airstream is gutted. What I would like to do is run the new lines through the subframe braces so it will go underneath the wood floor and and above the bottom exterior skin. My plans are to have an access door at each and every fitting so in case of a leak I can access it and fix the problem if there is one. Any body have any insight to this being good or bad?

Not a good idea!!! The water lines should be kept within the heated spaces of the coach as much as possible. The space between the floor and belly pan are NOT heated.

What if I live in lower Texas and I never go camping when it's cold so any time there would be a freeze the line would be empty?

One thumb up

I vote for above the floor. I just re-did all of my plumbing with pex. It all runs in mostly unused space. The access doors in the belly pan will be a lot of work. Having it in the heated space gives any owner more options for camping or getting caught below freezing. It also minimizes the number of holes in the sub-floor which limits the number of places for vermin or insects to get in. As a last thought, I don't know if animals like to eat pex, but putting it under the floor just makes it that much easier for them.

Good points, thank you for your time and input. I believe I will be running it above the floor.
