Too much truth in that one...
I used to work in a human resources office...that is hilarious, but sadly very close to reality with some bosses!!

Hut, my friend... how did you sneak a camera into my office to film when I speak with my employees?

It's almost like I stepped into a time warp and Norby reproduced by supervisor somehow. Scotty, beam me up, there's no intelligent life down here. Keep it up Norby!

I think I'm closest!
Love the Video.. It is sadly true in High Tech as well..
I've had it for now, and will be retired in 74 days... (Jan 31st!!) Will still consider part-time and consulting gigs, but the weekly grind is coming to an end.. Yee Hah

Mine is a desktop widget for Windows XP...it's a free download from www.konfabulator.com
There's actually a newer version of the retirement counter that they published yesterday.

I know. It was not my life goal to work that long, but after both my wife and myself got the royal $&@! job from corporate america, plans changed. I got laid off from IBM after 24 years and she was laid off from American Express after 31 years. Both of us qualified for "some" retirement payments.

Deep Thoughts
Our company just added a new feature to our 401(k) website--a retirement planner calculator where you enter your desired retirement date and it calculates your monthy social security, pension and 401(k) distribution income based on reaching age 90. So I tried it out and was surprised that I could retire and start taking out the same amount of money I have been living on because the rest was what I was agressively tucking away for retirement. I wouldn't have to do that anymore. So, I guess I can retire anytime now or I could work for another 4 years. Decisions, decisions. I can now work doing what I want to do with no worries.
