In case anyone is interested, I've noticed a few trailers near me that are for sale.
On Hwy 50, near Bithlo/East Orlando (Orange Co), there are two vintage trailers parked in a field. Both look to be in rough shape on the outside, though I didn't notice any dents - just really, really dirty. One says Overlander, but is shorter than my 27, so I guess it might be a 25'. The other looks to be a 31'. I'm willing to bet they're overpriced, signs posted next to each say $7,500 and $12,000 respectively. I tried numerous times to contact the seller by the posted number. never got through.
Today I saw a 1973, 25' Avion in Frontenac (Brevard Co) for $3,200. I was on my way home from the Animal Emergency Clinic with a sedated puppy so I couldn't look for long. Seemed to be in okay shape - smelled of mildew inside. The axles looked good - that is, the trailer was riding above the wheels higher then my AS was when I purchased it. But, I don't have any idea if the Avion's even have the same axle issue....
Anyway - thought someone might be interested. If you want more info, I can get to one of them within a week... a bit out of my way, but I can make a point if needed
