How humid is it in New England?

Yesterday was such a nice sunny day I opened the door on the Bambi to air it out and forgot to close it last night. This morning I woke up to a beeping noise coming from the driveway. It was the Bambi's smoke alarm. Huh?

Checked out the battery and it was okay. Looked up the smoke alarm manual online and found out that the high humidity is enough to set off a false alarm.

Gotta remember to shut that door at night. I think I'll set up the dehumidifier in the trailer today.

Could probably repeat this entire thread - another lake has formed across the street. The kidz are in NY with Mom; Dakota disappointed that the water will receed prior to his return home. I'm counting the hours - basement flooded, failure of sump pump. Yesterday I was an island. Street barricaded on both sides of my house due to the road flooded. Who invented the wet/dry vac? Genius.

My basement keeps flooding...about an inch an hour...we keep losing power so I"m manning the sump pump manually.

Thanks for the offer but one of my neighbors has already offered up his gas run sump pump.
