If you won the lottery...
Fellow Streamers...with all this talk about the lottery going on...here's a question for all of you...
"If you won the lottery (& there were no financial restrictions..) how would that effect/change your life in terms of Airstreaming" ??
Would you keep on doing it ??
Would you do more of it or less ??
Would you buy another Airstream trailer or another tow vehicle ??
Where would you go ??

No change in trailer or truck, just Airstream more, work less...

Same here, no change in TV or AS just more time on the road.

I did pool with my doctoral cohort and we won $2. Oh well.
I would have my Bambi II finished a whole lot more quickly as I would have someone else do it! Then I would buy my four door Jeep Wrangler TV and head to Chicago with my wife and baby to drive the entire historic Route 66 to LA. Return trip would be less direct.
I would not go bigger...but I might get more! Would love to own a Bowlus...and hitting the lottery would be the only way to do that!

I'd go a bit bigger, like maybe purchasing the AS company! Fit and finish would be addressed, and filform corrosion would be a thing of the past. You'd get what you pay for.

A big change here. Since my pickup has only 319,000 miles and is still going strong I would get some NEW tires for it instead of used ones.

Oh - and a 30 foot Serenity with 3 fantastic fans, no skylights, Pleather upholstery, recliners, full awning package, and the Classic plank flooring instead or the standard Serenity stuff. And a nyloboard floor! If I've got that much money and I have the nyloboard delivered to the factory - they WILL build it that way...

Hiya, Paul - from your neighbor at Alumapalooza.
If I won, I would sign up for bagpipe lessons.

I would hire a great attorney and CPA. I would for SURE not work anymore. But, I would start several foundations mainly for homeless & abused animals. Volunteer. I would get my elderly parents set up so they didn't have a care in the world. I would buy an Airstream and upgrade it to everything I can dream of, travel the country and pursue my passion of wildlife photography. I would NOT buy a big mansion, big fancy car. I'm uber happy with my Ford Expedition. I would pray it wouldn't change the essence of who I am.

I'd keep the AS and TV we have, upgrade the interior (floors, drapes, faucets, sinks) and use what's left (and that would be most of the winnings) to pay for the gasoline since the price continues to escalate!

I'd pay off the home mortgage and other loans we have. Then invest the rest. I'd hope I could camp more, but money isn't really our limiting factor now - it's time, mainly from work. If it were enough that we didn't have to work and could live off the dividends, then sure.

I might buy some campgrounds in opposite corners of the country.
Then, when I go broke, I wouldn't have to pay to camp.

If we won the lottery, I'd definitely camp more. I'd probably buy a bigger new Airstream and we'd use that exclusively for a year or so while I got the Argosy painted and tricked out in a few other ways...
Then I'd take the new trailer to Jackson Center to fix the eleventy-seven things I found to be imperfect during that year, and once they were done with it we'd have a big/new trailer for going to RV park kind of sites, and a smaller/renovated trailer for vintage events, tighter campgrounds, etc.
It's doubtful that would fully satisfy me for the long term... if I won enough money to retire, I'm sure I'd need to keep enough projects to keep me out of trouble.

We love our vintage Trade Wind and classic Buick convertible TV. Maybe I might hire an event staff to secure prime camp sites and set up the leveling....sewer hookups (dumping too) electric....satalite TV......keep the polish shiny......

I would want to redo a Classic 325 Motorhome with a turbo-diesel engine, and all the things needed to make it a super liveable cross country cruiser for a travelling musician. Not asking for much here.

If.................I won the big one, I certainly would not buy an Airstream.
But, I would try to buy Airstream, that is the factory, etc.

Let's be honest.
Hi, I would buy the new 32' stream lined Monaco Vesta motorhome. I would have built, a brand new Victorian home with everything inside modern [large rooms] on a nice 1 acre lot. I would buy the bright red Ferrari and use it as a decoration in my Victorian garage. I would help all of my family members to own a nice house and car without payments.
I would help people in need, in this country.
I would donate to help dogs.
I would donate to help people with various cancers.
My donations for help would be direct, by-passing places like the Red Cross. Don't get me wrong, the Red Cross has done some great things, but when one person, [working for the Red Cross] in one small area, pays herself over $300,000.00 per year, I want no part of that.
In my will everything would be donated.
