I hope this isn't too political...

But I was on on the camping board of my Disney Forum earlier today and someone posted the following:

"If the Presidential Candidates were Campers...
what do you think they'd camp in? I've been thinking about this one a lot lately.

Obama - he's an Airstream guy. I can just picture him coming out the door early in the morning with a steaming cup of coffee, waving like he's getting off a campaign bus. He just wouldn't know how to dress for camping - probably wearing snazzy pants with a crease and Italian shoes and a sweater around his shoulders like some yuppy.

McCain - he would have an old pop up, like an old Coleman. This guy could dress the part - plaid shirt, blue jeans, but Lugz boots, not Crocs like Pete would wear. The kicker - in the next site would be the Prevost he and his wife really sleep in.

Nader - the perpetual Green Party candidate. He would be in an old tent, but it would have to be made of hemp. He would arrive in an old Chevy station wagon, or maybe a Corvair (not!). Ralph doesn't have to worry about what to wear - his normal, unkempt look fits in anywhere in the woods."

Now personally, I don't think I like them putting one of the candidates in an Airstream and one in an old pop-up.

(I really think it would be McCain in the Airstream and Obama in the Prevost any way. And Nader, well he's an SOB any way...I mean he would be in an SOB. )

Yeah, McCain in an Airstream and a WBCCI member... part of the old guard voting to allow SOB's in ONLY if the owner once knew someone who once had a cousin who's neighbor owned an Airstream... Still, his wife WOULD be in the Prevost at the "member's only" park... poor John...

Am thinking Obama's idea of camping or "roughing it", is sleeping at a Holiday Inn with the windows open... Michelle would demand 1000 count thread sheets...

Nader....? I dunno..... old VW camper....? With the split windshield.... and a bumper sticker that says..... "NO !!"...?

Suppose we designate an airstream for each of them? Let them choose but only airstream. Who do you suppose would choose what year and particular model?

No matter what they brought to camp in I'll bet each one of them would be experts at telling big whoppers and tall tales trying to outdo each other around the campfire.

I dunno either. But funny you mention the VW. When camping over the July 4 holiday this year we saw one parked in the backcountry camping lot with a pristine "Carter~Mondale" bumper sticker.

Wow.....if only Walter was around to know people still support him

Steve.

By the way...it doesn't matter what we think, they would camp in Airstreams once they get to the White House. Look at all the special Airstream trailers the government has on planes, or for their use.

I guess it is a good thing that Airstream motorhomes and trailers can't vote.

Umm I believe old Walter is still around. Isn't he?

but either around or not....still clueless..

I think Clinton was the last Pres to be interested in trailers and their parks and their occupants. Nothing political about that, ....purely carnal.
He called them trailer perks.

Yep ,..did it all by himself.
Took care of old Bin Laden and raised middle school on up promiscuity to a level never before imaginable if you get the picture.(Just ask a middle or high school administrator what has replaced kissing on campus). Sold pardons, stole the silverware, honored and cherished his spouse and I won't mention what he got away with regards to Ms Brodrick and other women.
However I do know he is quite the hero in Texas' most beautiful and most debauched city, among its nouveau perverted university ilk.

Dang, nearly 3" of rain at our house tonight. On another note, I wonder how some of that stuff got past the censors?

Rick you are probably right, or more likely left.
I just couldn't pass up a factual reply to a defense of the indefensible.
I love Austin, visit it often, have children and grandchildren there. Eat barbeque, honky tonk, marvel at the place and remember when it was all Texan and not tryin' to be Seattle.
The only thing wrong with Austin is half the people. Or in other words, it ain't the dope, it's the dopes. Course every other person 's got a different idea of which side is dopey.

You know, I kind of miss that little blond girl on the left side of my page.

Think we can get the dating site ads back?

Just asking...

While this thread didn't start off too political, that's where it is now. Therefore, it's being closed pending a decision by the moderators.
