Our family will have the yearly get together on Mother's Day later today at my folks place.It's always an enjoyable time for us.Do you do anything special to celebrate the day?

Usually everyone gets together here (do kids EVER take over the hosting??) because it's central and they have a good time here. This year, however, everyone is busy or away and I've had a morning of phone calls and emails. Instead of the usual loud slightly chaotic family gathering, I'm having a quiet day (quiet is a good thing!), reading a good Kingsolver book by the flickering stove, and feeling thankful I'm not busy outdoors on this grey, WINDY, COLD, RAINY (again!!) afternoon. It's a different Mothers' Day, but it's nice ~G
