Lo, we returned from a weekend trip to find that Southwestern Bell (aka ATT now) has erected a brand new relay tower within a mile of the house and trucked in a prefab building. They are even working on it today (Sunday). I can see the tower through the trees from my den window. According to rumor, we may have broadband in our neighborhood within 30 days.

John,
You will love it. I was using my emergency dial up from my work DSL for along time, never did see 56k.... Then I said "the heck with it" and bought another DSL contract for the home, and I have to say that it makes such a huge difference!
Now, when you say broadband, are you talking DSL, cable, wireless, satellite??
