New Seats

There has been some discussion recently about replacement seats. Many of us, myself included, have bought seats from an outfit called Discount Van and Truck. Myself and others have been very happy with their products. Recently service and quality went downhill. A new outfit called Shop4Seats showed up with similar products and web site. I am in Southern Calif. and called Discount to look at a problem with an arm rest and was given a number to call. It was Shop4Seats. I was told to stop by the shop and they would take a look at it. A young man named Alec Al-Eissa came out and removed the arm rest and took it inside to have someone check it out. While waiting I ask Alec what was going on.

Apparently Discount was a web site owned by a guy and Eurotec Seating built the seats. Several months ago the Discount guy decided to no longer do business with Eurotec. He now contracts with somebody else. Eurotec decided to start their own web site and are now doing business as Shop4Seats.

Bottom line if you liked the old Discount seats, call Shop4Seats, they are the same people.

By the time Alec finished the explanation the arm rest was repaired and back on the chair at no charge. The chair is nearly four years old and well out of warranty. As I said before I am very happy with my seats and I would recommend anybody looking for RV furniture to check out http://shop4seats.com/rv-furniture/rv-packages.html. Ask for Alec if you have any questions.

RV show this week in Pomona

We went to the RV show today in Pomona, CA...there were a couple of exhibitors there that reupholster the captains chairs....doubt they are cheaper than new chairs....FlexSteel (in our MH) will reupholster....I have some numbers for SO CA if anyone is interested....

One thing that I would like is a shoulder restraint but FlexSteel can't do that with the current set up. They told me the MH is not constructed so that it would be safe......

the prices we were quoted were about the same as Shops4Seats.....no big discount.
