inspector help

Aloha AS Motorhomers, I'm new to posting here but have been following along for a while now. I am considering to buying a 345 that is listed in the classifieds here. It is located in Boca Raton Fla.

I need to have the unit inspected, and think the is a network of people from the forum that are willing to do that sort of thing to help out. How would I go about reaching someone close to the unit that could swing by for a look see?

Also does anyone here know of a shop in that area that could do a competent PPI for me?

Thanks for any help.

If this turns out to be the unit for me I will be setting out on a first trip towards Prescott AZ and will enjoy posting from the trip.

Cheers Richard

Ask a Volunteer

At the Portal (Leftmost Tab at top of Air Forums)
In the lower right corner,
Select type of AIrstream and State.
There are 12 volunteer Airstream Motorhome inspectors in Florida.
Select one.
They are volunteers but offer to pay for fuel and but lunch.
Choose an inspector who agrees to use a written checklist of your choosing from these forums.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Alumaholic, I checked the list and was surprised to find that there are no members near that area.

How about locating a shop that can be trusted to do a good PPI, how wound I go about locating such a shop?

Cheers Richard

Send a PM to "Lewster" on these forums. He's in FL right now. (Yes, I know FL is a big state, but so is NM and I will drive 100 miles to inspect an Airstream if somebody will pay for the diesel. That's probably true in FL too. You probably can't afford Lewster, but he will be able to recommend a reliable inspector.
Remember, you want a checklist!
Not just, "it looks pretty good to me."
