Argosy 454 engine repair in Amarillo TX

Hi Guys:
I am in a real jam. I thought I had my Argosy 24 fixed when it threw a couple of rods but now I have been called by the mechanic to say:
The engine needs new pistons so it may need a new kit.
I have already spent money on this and can not go into the hole again for the same problem.

Anyone know of a good service center in Amarillo TX., that I can have my 24ft towed to and get fixed ASAP.

I payed for a ticket to Amarillo from NY Friday one way no refunds which means I am just spending money I have not got. HELP!

Sounds like you need a new motor. Look at this web site and give then a call. All there notoes have a 3yr-75000mi. warrantee on them

http://webapp.jasperengines.com/locator/netloc.asp

call 1-800-827-7455 for the Jasper Representative in your area

So when you get home you still have a warrantee

Sorry to hear it is not going well.

If you want to go with a new motor and save a few bucks over the Jasper you can get a GM Crate motor for around $2300.00 with a 3 yr 50K mile nationwide warranty from GM. I was able to get it installed with all new Accessories and my AC fixed for less that the cost of just replacing the engine with a jasper. I also had a diffrent shop do the work than the one that quoted the Jasper.

Not saying the Jasper is bad, just spendy.

Yes I agree that Jasper is "spendy" But they will pay for all parts and labor at any shop or even if you do the work your self. The GM motors are at a GM dealer only and they may not cover the "full" labor cost ( and I think parts as well ie: oil ect.) that a differnt GM dealer may charge you for a RV. As we all know that some dealers frown on us RVer's. Well good luck Jim

HELP HELP motor died a royal death.

Well thanks to all but too late.
I was told after sending more money (cause it went bad again) that she was fixed. Went down to Amarillo Friday started off Saturday. Went 800 miles nursing her back to NY when she insisted on dying.
It was a royal death, her last grasp went on for at least 45 seconds as she was pull over on I-44 East in Marshfield MO. Her lifeblood soaked the emergency lane and verge as gave her last sound of awareness marked a rod piercing her oil pan. On looking underneath her I saw her water drain out as she gave up the ghost. So now she sits 800 miles closer to NY waiting for a new heart.
There are not a lot of 454s in that part of the world and thw work for a new engine is $5000. any advise.
