Serpentine Belt

I have a 1997 Land Yacht Motorhome on the Chevrolet Chassis. Powered by the 7.4 454 engine. Belt broke was unable to locate it, need the belt number to get a new belt. So far no one can tell me the belt no. I have AC PS Alt. Thanks in advance for any help in locating the correct belt.

If your mounted on a P30 chassis they should be able to look it up ... at least a real parts store could. Try a NAPA store.

Good luck with the chain stores with the kid asking 'year make and model' and its not in the computer.

Tried NAPA the belt they have is 100" and is way to long..Tried Chevrolet, they also indicated a 100" belt.

Run a string around all the pulleys. Measure. Get proper length belt.

String trick works, but make sure the tensioner is pulled to half stroke to get a more accurate reading.

NAPA gave me wrong parts, biggest problem seems to be the tensioner. Any mechanics out there familiar with the correct part number for the Chevy 454 belt tensioner?

The spare that I have is NAPA # 25-061031 , got two when replaced. 13/16"x 103 5/8" OC. They also have tensioners and pulleys. This is for my 1999 chassis.
