Remove cruise control

hello. On my excella 1980, I don't have the engine control module of cruise control. I would like to remove all wires and small hoses : is it possible without problem ? My engine is a little bit shambolic !!! Thank you. Marc

Marc,
I would leave everything in its original place and function. You can easily disconnect the cruise control feature by removing the Cruise throttle cable. The powertrain works as a system. Some components can be disabled without causing a problem. Others cant.

Just remove the cruse control cable that is connected to the throttle arm. If you start removing vacuum hoses you may effect the transmission shifting.
