Nice idea, but far from ideal. You are charging 2 dis-similar battery banks with a converter or inverter/charger designed to properly charge a house deep cycle battery bank.
The better way to accomplish this is to install a nifty little device from Magnum Energy called the Smart Battery Combiner. This little gizmo reads the voltages on both banks and will draw from the main bank when the auxiliary bank needs charging. You can find the details here: ME-SBC Smart Battery Combiner
