Windshield cleaner

Hello,
Which product do you recommend to use as windshield cleaner? Most of the products has ammoniac, which is not good for the clear coat.
Thanks a lot.

And it has the same active ingredients as toothpaste! So I have to ask, how exactly do you floss a windsheild?

If you're cleaning automotive glass, my favorite is Sprayaway glass cleaner. Home centers have had is.

Looks like great product, Bob! Probably easier than what I do as follows.

On glass...
A polish for "clear coat" or Novus a polish for plastic. Try in a small spot to ensure you won't scratch. Testing with the Novus stuff is precautionary as

Apply, buff with damp cloth(non-fanric softerner, disposable or microfiber) to capture dusties. Only damp, no runoff.

Use clean damp towel as above to wipe residue. Wash with water only until squeaky clean. Water should almost bead up.

Dry with a towel which has NO fabric softener.

Apply Rain-x then buff with clean towel.

If you can't get residue of Rain-x off, use mild soap like J&j baby wash or nonscented hand soap. A drop of Dawn or Ivory Dishwasing soap in a hand cloth should suffice a car window or half of an RV. Wet windshield wash then rinse well

Same can be done inside window with less water, of course. Since inside SHOULD be cleaner than outside, use cleaner sparingly. This will make cleanup easier. Put a large beach towel on dash to catch drips.

Finally use Rain-x Invisible glass on inside of the windshield.
