Questions about 2017 Tommy Bahama AI
After owning 2 Airstream trailers, and then downsizing to a 2007 AI on which we put over 110,00 miles (from Mexico to New Foundland), we just bought a used 2017 AI Tommy Bahama GT. Lots of things to get used to! There is actually not much more room than the 2007 AI, which we had hoped we would have (except in the back). Bathroom is even smaller!! Don't like all the electronics, we are more analog people, but will get used to it, I hope.
Has anyone found a different table, maybe one that slides sideways? We have the wardrobe over the one back seat, which makes that seat unusable. Right now putting the dinette table on gives hardly any room to sit. Couch is OK, for my husband, and I guess I am the maid making and serving dinner, and then squeeze in on the usable side seat, and I am NOT a very big person!
Also anybody has done something about the Tommy Bahama "bar"?? I miss the shelves for spices and other small things in the 2007. Want to make shelves in the so-called bar, have no need for several bottles of booze!
My husband would have been better off suffering TBI's from the hard wood molding under the overhead cabinet, heading to the cockpit. We put a foam piece of pipe insulation over it--it works but doesn't have much class.
Hope someone has some answers to our questions!
