Angry Adjustment of door latch on Airstream 30sld

Hi Folks,
We recently purchased a 2004 Airstream 30sld Motor home.
I request some help to adjust the latching of the main door.
If I adjust the door latch bolt so that the door does not rattle (really infuriatingly so!) then the step lift is not activated.http://www.airforums.com/forums/images/icons/icon8.gif

How does one adjust the door to enable it to close closer to the MH body and activate the step?

Many Thanks

On my old '83 310 I added a pad/shim on the door itself, where the step switch was so it would push on the plunger more deeply. Solved my problem.

Many thanks for your reply. Our Airstream 30sld has a light switch to activate the step.
I experimented with moving the position of the light sensitive switch and now have the step operating correctly.

I would appreciate assistance with how to troubleshoot the electric step!
We have just arrived home after a 3000 mile trip to Ontario, the camper did great, very pleasant to drive the Airstream 30SLD.
Day after arriving home the step stopped operating! There is power through the coach switch. Need "How to do" help to check the magnetic switch, control box and motor, Many Thanks Grandave

Did you check the wall mounted switch for the step? If it got bumped or switched off, the step will stay where it is.

If they are Kwikee steps, download the instructions which set out all the fault tests
