I would be havin' a major case of Aluminitis, GottaHaveItNow, or some such ailment, call in sick and be there yesterday. Of course, since I happen to have free time I could go get it for you and store it here in Texas where it is warmer.

You could drop it off in St. Louis on your way home

Of course a million ideas are running through our minds right now, and we'll be sure to get more pics when she comes home Sat. (Jay is going to check tires, lights, etc. tomorrow so hopefully less surprises on Sat.).

The only thing that appears to be missing from 8435 at first glance is the fridge. We think we can pull an old Marvel out of an old camper in a junkyard nearby, and hopefully restore it to match the trailer era. If it's not the right era, then we'll keep on looking. But even the drop-leaf table and original chair appear to be there! I sure hope the next 2 days fly by!!!

Are you guys going to repack bearings or just hook up & go? You only have few miles to drive, yes?

I'm not sure what Jay has in mind; I guess he'll have to assess it when he looks it over tomorrow. We have about 40 mi or so to go, and he's planning on proceeding cautiously (should be a good line of cars stuck behind him as he drives 40 mph). A friend is going with him who's also mechanically minded, so should something happen along the way, they should be able to figure something out.

We also have a couple used-but-decent-condition tires we took with us when we went to pick up our Sovereign in MN, so he'll take those with as well, just in case. We'll worry about getting good tires for it down the road.

I keep pouring over the pics we have of it, and am getting so excited to get her home!! Can't wait to post pics of her actually sitting in our yard...

The count is now at 1 DAY, 19 hours, 9 minutes....

Don't get me wrong, I love Oscar (our '71 Sovereign) and Vivian (our '67 Safari)!! In fact, I consider Vivian the perfect sized trailer & layout for our family. But I've felt the jealousy/envy many a time when others have posted their finds, and never understood why we couldn't find anything like that ourselves.

Who would have EVER guessed we'd come across something like this, much less a stone's throw away from home?!?! So ya never know... just keep those eyes peeled!!

Anybody else?
I forgot to reply to this post earlier (especially once we established this IS a WT...), but wanted you to know that there actually is a dresser between the bed and commode, but it's behind the wall next to the commode, and we didn't get a picture of it. We'll make sure to get that picture as one of the first posts when she's home!

This is the size trailer I'd like to have, and a tandem is a real plus. Wonder how much it weighs? Look forward to seeing more photos when you get her home. Hope the trip goes well.

Less than 36 hours, folks!! HEEHEE!!!

Jay is going to take a bill of sale and the money with him tomorrow when he goes to check tires and so on; then we will officially OWN it, even if she doesn't come home until Saturday! I'm becoming a bundle of nerves...
