Adjustable tent poles

I just ordered my first vintage style awning so I'm looking for suggestions on adjustable tent poles. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the reply, Steve! Those were on the top of my list before I posted because I'm afraid the other styles "locking mechanism" would slip.

After using them, do you think they were worth the money? How are the spring buttons holding up with the pressure of the awning and ropes. Have you had any trouble with them?

They've worked fine for me.

I got the 8 footers and then shortened one section slightly. The buttons work just fine and have never slipped. After using them for awhile, I pop riveted them together as I never need to break the sections down and they store in the truck fine with full length. The pins on the end have bent a little in use at times, but they seem strong enough.

I have been using these for a couple of years. Never had them slip and the adjustability is nice when dropping the awning down for rain run off.

I have been using those Texsport style one, got them at Walmart. They work just fine, but don't put them away wet, they will rust. Get the locking plastic thingie that goes on the tent pole ropes it works great and is cheap.

I am using adjustable painter's poles from Home Depot. They are lock securely at the desired level and easily adjust to different heights. The only modification I had to make was to add a 1/4" pin on the end to go through the grommet in my awning. I do not remember the cost, but was reasonable.

Yes, my original post was about the vintage style awnings. I just ordered one from Kristi http://vintageawnings.blogspot.com/?m=1

She lists a few links of recommended poles because she only sells the handmade awnings. Some of the ones she suggests were also "reviewed" as answers to my original question. I just wanted help deciding which to purchase. .

I also have an awning made by Kristi. A big plus about ordering from her is she will custom make to your request. Size (mine is over sized), material, colors, etc.
