Lightbulb Why Lock Moved Threads ????

I just came from a thread called "The Letter".
It concerns neighborhood covenants and deed restrictions as they relate to storing our Airstreams. Pretty important subject in my HUMBLE O'.

But when the well-meaning ModSquadMember (Bobby W.) moved it, it became locked.i.e. we can not add to it. That is not very productive.

I know we can always start a new thread, but that is what really confuses and complicates these types of forums/boards/groups.

May I suggest to Bobby W. that he change the subject name of the thread to Deed Restrictions / Covenant Probs. with Airstreams . and if possible to unlock the thread. That would make future searches much easier. It would also allow subsequent carry-on about the subject.

are you talking about this thread?
http://www.airforums.com/forum...ght=The+Letter
1. it is not locked
2. I already renamed it to reflect its content
3. To the right of all the forum titles you can find the name of the moderator to address any problems .

The Letter

I just posted a Test to it.

Messages do not become Locked when they are moved. Content was added to this one many times after I moved it.

Arrow Mystery to Me

When i visited it at around 1:00 PM today it was locked ( I would have sworn). It was also (I am ~~almost~~ positive) only named "The Letter".
In fact the # of visits and # of replies fields were blank on the interface. I do not know what forum it was on.
The interface had the arrow and the word "MOVED".

I saw where someone ran a search on it shortly after I posted. I went back to it and noticed it had changed. I just figured one of the moderators had adjusted it. If the changes were made earlier than today I guess it's just Haunted !
Unless there is another duplicate thread floating out there somewhere.
Thanks to Bobby for the changes.

MYSTERY SOLVED:
I accessed the thread from it's old location, General Repair, (hence the blank fields and the older shorter name). And apparently it linked me to the right place where I didn't think to check the name again (I would have seen it already changed if I had looked ). Then my puter apparently got sluggish in its scrollbar down mode (I guess)(sometimes that little down arrow hesitates to go allway to the bottom ) .

And not being on the last post in the thread I found no "reply" button and "took it" that the darn thing was locked.

Sorry for the confusion.
