Firefox recently downloaded version 3.5.2 and now I am having trouble with Firefox crashing frequently on Airforums. I have not noticed the problem on any other web site. (Although this may be because I spend more time on Airforums than any other web site. . . )
Sorry to hear this. I also loaded this version of FF recently and had some generalized issues including hangs and slowdowns. I found that I had some conflicts.
Make sure you have the latest version of Java loaded. Download Free Java Software - Sun Microsystems
If you are running skype, uninstall the skype plugin for FF. Skype will still work. This was actually causing slowdowns on every site for me and I agree it is annoying.
This fixed my issues - good luck with yours

Janet,
Thanks! I don't run Skype, but I checked and discovered that I had Java Update 13 and Java recommends Update 16. (My gosh, Update 13? That's probably the problem right there!)
Anyhow, brought Java up to current revision level and haven't seen the problem any more. I went back to some of the most troublesome threads and they seem to work fine now.

After following Janet's suggestion and downloading Java, I have noticed a significant increase in speed in using the forum pages. Thanks for your help, Janet!!!
I've been running 3.5.2 over Vista Home Premium since it was released with no problems... but as Janet suggests... make sure all your plug-ins and other programs are up to date as well.

I noticed that 3.5 is not an automatic update but a choice you have to make. I think there are various issues outstanding. I know my browser on my work PC did update Firefox with a patch release but it wasn't 3.5. Until their update truly pulls you to 3.5, it might be wise to be cautious in making that jump.
I just checked my lap top and I'm running 3.0.8. If I request an update it offers 3.0.13. Like I noted earlier 3.5.2 is not being pushed out on a normal update unless you make the jump to 3.5.

My Firefox 3.0.13 works fine on my Mac OS 10.5.7...
But I now get daily reminders that Firefox 3.5 is available for download.
I have also learned that Firefox will no longer support my version with security updates after the end of the year.
Before I get the latest version of Firefox, I will install the newly released Mac OS 10.6 Snow Leopard.
While checking "Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Compatibility List", I saw this note: "Java Note: After Snow Leopard installation, only Java SE 6 remains and is used for all applications and applets; previous Java versions (which were present in Leopard and Tiger) are gone. This may cause issues with Java apps/applets that don't work correctly with Java SE 6: These will need to be updated to work with Snow Leopard."

Poked around AS forums to, and no problems for me.
Haven't had this problem with Air Forums but have run into it on two other sites I regularly visit. If you look at the Firefox Forums you will find that others have experienced the same thing. Suspect the problem is being worked on.
My laptop is 3.5.2, no problems as of yet, my gaming rig is still on 3.0.something.. but since I am usually online from here (laptop) I haven't seen any problems with any sites I am on regularly. Firefox user forums have several threads running about problems with this version, bet they are working on it already.

I have had various issues with FF 3.5.x. The most annoying has been FF takeing huge amount of RAM, sometimes over 800MB. Once this happens my browser slows down and the experience get's ugly. I am upgrading Java right now, lets see if that fixes things.
It seems like a strange fix because the only page here on AIR that has any Java on it is the chat room. (note this is different then JavaScript, two different animals).
