Another 1961 Tradewind
I have just posted some photos of my 1961 Tradewind that I purchased from an Arizona gentleman...call me a nut, but I bought it sight unseen and he delivered it to me to San Diego. It is very straight, with one repair on the street side wheel well that looks very well done, excepting what appears to be sheet metal screw heads that have rusted heads. Other than that, no dents. The interior is rough, as you will see from the photos, but all the fixtures are in place, all the cabinet hardware, and all of the lighting. The floor has a couple of rotten areas. I am in the process of floor replacement on my 20' Argosy and do not know if I have the stomach to do it again on the TW...we'll see. It surely is a project!
Is that Zolatone on the walls for these early 60's Airstreams?
Merry Christmas Everyone!
Congrats on the new project. Nothing like another project in the wings to keep you motivated on the current one. I'm sure by the time you get the Argosy done you'll be ready to cut out some more rotten plywood.
