1959 tradewind on the road

Day 43 - Wed Sep 8 2010
We awoke to a sunny morning, but the sky looks a little dark over the mountains. We don't care -- we're at the Starlite Classic Campground. The first thing you see when you pull in is several restored vintage trailers, just waiting for visitors. The office\store is full of lots of vintage things. The park has only been open since April this year, and the owners are very anxious to get it going. The bathrooms, laundry and grounds are very clean, and the price is very reasonable. We love it here ! !
We had to take a drive into Canon City to find a doctor and pharmacist to help hubby with his meds. He ran out. We found a great doctor and she took good care of us and then we headed to the drug store to get them. We stopped at the Goodwill store, where I bought two sweaters - one to go with my pink and black polka-dot skirt for the rally, and one for the 'ugly sweater contest' at the Fall Gathering.
We stopped at another store in the downtown, "Reheated Leftovers". We bought a couple of things, then went across the street to MacClellans for lunch. Yes, we got the menu, and no, we didn't steal it.
We got back to the trailer around 6PM, and we met the neighbours -- two cowboys from Texas. They ended up partying at our trailer with the owners. We had a great time, although "Buster" was smitten with me. Great. We called it an early night.
