Securing Airstream

We have a 39' Airstream Ambassador and need to secure it in a safe, stationary manner. I am told that people in trailer parks use jacks and tie downs. We are near a creek, so want to make sure that it is safe for habitation until we take it back on the road in a year or two. Anyone out there that can tell me (1) what type of jacks to use, how many and how they are used and (2) what are these tie-downs called so that I can search the internet for them, been unable to find any real info.
