Description: Rated Michigan's best state park by many. Lake Michigan beaches, a small fishing lake, and a river make this a beachcomber/hiker/camper/fisherperson's paradise!Ludington State Park is comprised of nearly 5,300 acres of scenic sand dunes, shoreline vista, ponds, marshlands and forests. It is situated between Hamlin Lake and Lake Michigan with several miles of shoreline and beaches on both bodies of water. The three campgrounds at Ludington State Park -- Pines, Cedar and Beechwood -- have a combined total of 347 modern campsites including three mini-cabins. All of the campsites have electricity and there are modern shower and bathroom facilities in each campground. WIFI available here too. http://www.michigan.gov/dnr/0,1607,7...1452--,00.html

Pros: Location, activities, beautiful scenery/WIFI available
Cons: Very popular be sure to make reservations!

This is an outstanding state park.Clean facilities, some sites in Pines campground back up to the dunes over which you find the gorgeous beach. On clear nights with a good moon you can walk the beach to the lighthouse. Fisherman love this park, facilities to clean fish are available. Many trails, paved sidewalk walkways, great little campstore with ice cream, souvenirs, etc. Miles of beach on Lake Michigan. Many shops in nearby Ludington.
