Description: Tennessee Cumberland Plateau Campground is a membership Airstream Park high on the Cumberland Plateau just south of Crossville, Tennessee. TCPC has one hundred thirty-nine full-service campsites surrounded by 376 acres of hardwoods, mapped walking trails, a seven acre lake, a 5,000 sq. ft. clubhouse, and newly asphalted roads.

The Cumberland Plateau, at the southwestern part of the Appalachian Mountain chain, extends northeast to southwest through parts of West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Northern Alabama. Black Mountain Kentucky is the highest point at 4,125 ft. The plateau averages 52 inches of rainfall, comfortable summer temperatures at 82 F. and moderate winter temperatures of 52 F.

The Crossville area, at the southwestern part of the plateau has long produced coal, limestone, sandstone, and high quality hardwoods. National parks such as the Cumberland Gap National Park, Big South Fork National Park, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are significant tourist attractions for the area.

Crossville is also known as the "Golf Capital of Tennessee" and over a dozen courses are within a few miles of TCPC. The Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Trace course is just a fifteen minute drive from the park.

TCPC is an excellent base of operations for your day trips to Chattanooga, Nashville and Knoxville and is the perfect spot from which to enjoy the "world's longest yard sale" which takes place along US127 every August.

There's no better place to beat the summer heat than TCPC's spacious wooded campground. The Tennessee hills are noted for their beautiful misty mornings. An early morning walk on one of the mapped trails is the best time to see deer, squirrel, turkey and other wildlife. One hundred thirty-nine full-service campsites are member owned; but, rental sites are available to guests with Airstreams at $18.00 nightly - free wi-fi and a computer with internet access is available in the clubhouse and wi-fi is available throughout the park.

OPEN April 15th through November 15th with full-hookups available to members and guests.

Pros: Very friendly people
Cons: None

I haven't stayed at this park, but me and my sis-n-law, Silver Threads, spent a few hours there one day. The managers of the park were wonderful. We were able to take our time and look around the park. Several of the people staying there were friendly and some even let us look in there campers. I would love to go and stay there. It is a beautiful park, wooded and secluded. They just make you feel like you come home.

Pros: beauty, quiet, friendliness, facilities.
Cons: ticks

We spent two nights at this delightful park last week. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming even though we showed up with no reservation, 3 children, and a large dog. Great dog walking area (lots of ticks there though) and trails all around the park. Visitor sites were spacious and not hard to back into even for us rookies. WiFi worked great in the clubhouse but not at the campsite. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming. TCPC is more of a community or even a town than and campground but they were very welcoming to drop-ins.

We used the laundry and showers in the clubhouse.

Best of all, they recently voted to reduce the price to $15/per night instead of $20.

Pros: beautiful park, friendly community
Cons:

We loved it so much that we reurned and bought a membership (with our own lot)! More than 350 acres of beatiful, wooded, natural parkland incorporate many groomed trails. The town of Crossville is about 1/2 hour to the north, and about half-way between Knoxville and Nashville. The park feels more like an "old days" neighborhood to us than our 25-year residence in Florida.

Pros: Easy to park, connection easy to find even in dark
Cons: Be sure to take 2nd turn on Blaylock Rd as first (has a church at the turn) will cause hair pin turn when going to park.

We stayed at this some 10 years prior with our 31' and 3 young children, we went back over the July 4th weekend and found it to be as nice and friendly as it ever was. Our 34' was easy to park and we felt at home with the BBQ and fireworks. Can't beat the price and how clean and quite.

Pros: beautiful park, well maintained, outstanding facilities
Cons: none

Wife and I spent two days at TCPC and were very impressed with the facility and the folks we met. Beautiful park with outstanding private lots and five very nice visitor sites @ $18/night. Crossville is a beautiful area and very close to both Knoxville and Chattanooga. Great hiking trails (be sure to look up Susan the Trail Lady, she gives great tours) and a fantastic club house. We will be back without fail. We loved it and can only imagine how neat it would be in the fall with the leaves in full color and a fire in the huge fireplace in the clubhouse. Don't miss an opportunity to visit.
