Description: Well shaded state park campground for RV's and tents within easy walk of beach. 139 sites with electricity, water, fire ring, and picnic table. Dump station and clean bath/shower facilities. Many recreational options. Close to St. Augustine. Some sites are small, extremely tight, and difficult to enter with larger trailers and motorhomes. Maximum length 40'. Thick vegetation separates and screens most sites. Sites are hard sand, no pavement.

Pros: Beach nearby, wooded private sites, quiet
Cons: Some sites difficult to get into. It is easy to miss the park entrance from the main road.

We spent four nights in January 2013. Delightful state park. Beautiful beach an easy walk from the campground. Campground is well shaded by dense vegetation. Sites are not paved. Water and electric hookup. No cable or sewer. Dump station. Bath houses clean and well maintained. Some issues with broken machines in the laundry. The park itself has many facilities and recreational opportunities plus St. Augustine is a short drive away with many attractions. Definitely eat at O'Steen's restaurant, very close to the park entrance on the road to St. Augustine. The seafood was delicious.
