Description:

This campground is a diamond in the rough. It's not for everyone since it's boon docking, but for those that don't mind that in exchange for a free campsite, then it's great. The sites are spacious, relatively flat, and paved. Some are pull through, so great for one night stops where you don't unhook. There's a new restroom house. There is NOT a dump station. Bottom line...if you don't mind the drive off the beaten path or are already on the parkway, this is the place to go for a beautiful stay without hookups. There were a number of hiking and biking trails that we did not have time to take advantage of.

Stayed here November 17/12, absolutely gorgeous area. Clean, newly paved sites with lots of room between sites, large hardwood trees and really quiet. Flush toilets and water available too. I felt guilty leaving here without paying a cent. God Bless America.
