In mid Sept.2012 we recently stayed for a couple of days in the Alexander Valley RV campgound. Although on the Russian River and convient to the city of Healdsburg 6 miles away it has many shortcomings. It is located right on the Alexander Hwy and is very noisy most all times of the day and night. Additionally in its listing they say no tents but in fact the tents surround the RV campsites and were occupied by very large noisy groups with boom boxs. The real deal breaker were the bathrooms and showers which were portable as the permanent ones were under repair. The portable ones could have been ok if not for the fact they were filthy. I went to take a shower and felt dirtier coming out then I did when I entered. They also limited the showers to 6 min and when their holding tanks were full they locked the doors. Go figure! Granted they have a lot of construction to improve the grounds but the misrpresentation and overall management is criminal. We were scheduled to stay 4 days but we were gone in 2.
