Description:
National park campground with water and electric hookups and dry camping. No Dump station. Long drive up the hill into the campground and many spaces are not that level or situated off the road. Parking extra vehicles could be a problem. Bears recently sighted in the campground so keep food locked up wand camper closed when you are not there.
Good place for bicycling and good ranger programs.

Pros:
Environment, Proximity to Black Canyon
Cons:
Small sites, limited
The sites are small, but offer good privacy on the off-road side of the spaces. Fine hiking trails right from the campground, and the Black Canyon is spectacular.

Great national park campground with electric hookups. Excellent scenery, quiet camping. We will definitely return for a longer stay.

Pros:
right in the park, decent spacing between sites - close to visitors center
Cons:
Many sites very narrow and parallel to the road
WE liked this campground but the real gem is the campground on the north rim, which we discovered when we visited it. The unpaved road to reach it was excellent and the North rim sites were much more spacious. Did we move there - no we only had 2 more nights to go so did not bother "pulling up stakes" but next time we will head straight to the north rim - which was also more scenic and less crowded.
