Description: Paved interior roads, gravel sites, electric 30amp service. Lake Geode is about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile walk away. New beach house, lousy beach. Not the greatest state park in Iowa, but will do if your just passing through, nearby Burlington is a nice Mississippi river town with lots to see. Don't miss Crapo Park on the south side of town. Beautifull city park with great overlooks of Mississippi. Make sure you stop at Big Muddy's right under the Hwy. 34 bridge for a burger and beer.
Keywords: Burlington Iowa Geode midwest, mississippiriver river

Pros: Great Spring and Fall Camping
Cons:

Iowa State Parks do not require a sticker or entrance fee, and on October 1, most of Iowa state parks are $11 a night and remain at that price till late April or early May. The shower rooms may be closed, but there is usually a frost-free water hydrant and a dump available. I'd call ahead about water and dump if that's a necessity.
