Land Yacht Harbor of Melbourne has 304 sites with 50 sites designated for non-Airstreams, WBCCI membership is not a requirement to be in the park, pets not allowed, children not allowed, "in-season" residents must be adults, 55 and over and retired, some transient rentals are allowed from 5/1-10/31 who may be under age 55 and working, large air-conditioned recreation hall with a library, computer with DSL or WiFi and billiard tables.

no pets, children, mean people, where old Airstreamers go to die!

Average age 85, old and mean people. If you have kids or pets (the same in their mind) run away fast or simply don't go. After 15 years or Rving this is the worst.

The place was very clean and quite. We spent a 4 weeks not a place for kids or pets and we were sad to leave. We didn't meet any mean people just people just like us but older. The travel tails were great. When you are there just follow the rules not hard if you can read. Enjoy the sunsets and the local markets ( city produce) Great place to stop on the way home from the beach.

I have family that live in the Melbourne area and looked at staying at Land Yacht Harbor when visiting them, but it sure does not sound very inviting for Airstreamers with families. WBCCI wants new members which means members with families, and promoting Airstream member parks as one of the benefits, but parks like this one do not encourage people to join.

Not for active adults, not close to beach, not scenic

The folks are very friendly but most live here during the winter season. Older retirees so focus isn't active campers. No pets, not close to beach.
