We wanted a way to have our 9 year old grandson travel with us without losing the ability to get up early (as we sometimes do despite ourselves) and enjoy the living space. Having him sleep on the couch or dinette beds didn't work for us. Solution: A bed frame made of 1 1/2" furniture grade PVC components with nylon lawn furniture webbing and a 27" x 63" IKEA youth mattress on top. He sleeps above our feet and perpendicular to us. We have the use of the living space anytime. |
