Ready to depart Flood, BC on last day #55 of 2013 tour. The weather has let up a bit from last night so we will be home by mid-afternoon, The question now is "when can we go again?" as this trip had to be cut short. |

Clipper 2013 Tour

| Description |
Day #54 travelling the "CROWSNEST" #3 highway through southern BC. Junction of #3 at east entrance to #3B.
At this point the Clipper has handled the 9% grades of two of the five pass on this route with ease but with the car in tow, the exhaust brake alone could not restrain the combined weight.. Crowsnest and the Kootenay Pass (Kootenay Skyway) down and three more to go. We do a routine brake check before proceeding on to Blueberry-Paulson Summit (Bonanza Pass).
If you are travelling this route, be prepared for the grades UP AND DOWN.
