| Description |
One week is a long time to be parked at any rally. After a few days we were looking for other things to do. The program is optional; you attend what you find interesting, entertaining, or curious about. Then look outside the venue for things to do, either planned or spontaneous. A lot of mixing going on at the Rally, but also a lot of units had meals and activities outside the venue. Folks come and go throughout the rally, our friends even hitched up after two days and took off for a couple of nights in the Black Hills; returning for the last two nights. |

6/25/2013, Site 55, 72 degrees. Stayed at St Regis to get one more night in Montana before heading home. Parked next to some great Airstream folks from FL who were enroute to WA. Had a good visit and a few ideas for them heading west. So, a straightforward trip, lots of driving to see some kin, but a lot of interesting stays along the way. Plus the Beartooth and a chance to revisit Yellowstone and plan for next time! |

Keyhole SP, Moorcroft, WY

| Description |
7/18/2010. Site #19, changed from site #21 (no shade). Site # 17 is probably the best in this loop. All by ourselves in this loop, and less than 10 in this set of reserved loops, so it was very quiet. Right next to the lake. Stopped at Jewel Caves NM today and took the Ranger Guided "Lantern Tour" of about 1:45 hour. Very interesting and not for the claustrophobic! Great drive into WY, though temps were warmer, high 80's but cooled to the 50's at night. |
