Extra Gray Tank
|
Description |
Found an RV Service company going out of business here in Tampa and they were having a giant GOOB sale. (Going Out Of Business). Found this 50 gallon waste tank, brand new and haggled them down to $50.
I'm going to install it under the bed area and use it to catch all the kitchen sink water so I will be able to boondock longer. It is a fairly easy retrofit. I will put a valve on the back end and connect it to the existing gray. Then I can dump it through the other tank when necessary.
Also picked some exterior grade and thickness aluminum sheets. A 4' x 7' and 2' x 7' pieces. $30 for the both.
A good day as an Airstream Picker. |

First View Of My Streetside Awning
|
Description |
I never opened the awning before because the strap was missing and I "had plenty of other things to do" that were more important. Today I got ambitious and got my ladder out, climbed up, and hand rolled out the awning. It looks as though it was never even opened. I attached a clamp on one end to prevent it from rolling back up and cleaned it with the hose. Now I need to get a replacement strap and rivet it on. The curb side awning needs to be examined next. Well, that is one less expense I have on this awning! |

Furrion 30 Amp Outlet And Shurflo Water Fill.
|
Description |
I decided while I was re-engineering the entire rear end of my trailer, that I would eliminate the cord in the rear compartment and go with a new Furrion 30 amp outlet. I bought a 30' twist lock right angle cord to go with it. It really worked out nicely. All installed and tested.
In addition, I put in a Shurflo water fill, with built in pressure regulator and check valve. Might as well do it right! Next comes the water heater and I can finish putting my interior skins on in the bathroom area. |

Got 5 Of Them Done This Afternoon
|
Description |
From the street side tongue, back to the next to last outrigger before the wheel wells. Fortunately, the other side of the trailer doesn't need this many. The existing outriggers were actually very solid, but I wanted to firm them up and give them the shape for the bottom wrap to confirm to. Decided to use OSPHO on all the steel, then paint with high quality black spray paint or rubberized paint. Did my other flatbed trailer with OSPHO with great results. WAY cheaper than POR 15 and weeks of brushing it on. |
