Virden, Manitoba, Day #5. We have visited here before and the Clipper's front end needed a wash, to remove the prairie bugs, so we stopped again. Nice quiet Lion's Park.

Lowville, NY. Sept. 6, 2013 Day # 21 of 2013 tour. On route to the Mohawk Valley.
We travel #12 which follows the route of the abandoned Black River Canal. Many places along this route you can see the remains of the locks and canal works. There is a good museum in Boonville NY with all the history of the canal and a great visual display. It is located right on the old canal bank in downtown Boonville. Lots of parking. All together, the Black River Canal had 109 locks--still a world record.
