New patches fitted inside
|
Description |
These were by the door. It was gratifying to finally cover up all the holes in the inner skin! |

A typical hole inside
|
Description |
There was about 30 patches needed. Here is a typical one inside. I wanted to have the inside skin in one solid piece, I don't think the eye notices the patches when they are well painted. You know like being on a boat, your eye just sees the general shape. |

Hinge panel rot
|
Description |
This was unsightly and also structurally unsound. The door was very wobbly. |

Entry light hole to be patched
|
Description |
Near the door. You can see the size and the # of the patch. I bought the Alclad at Allen Steel in redwood City. Hard to source the exact stuff to match the rest of the skin. They were great and cut the square patches for me on their big press. |

This side ok

Description |
Weird how the left side of the trailer has no aluminum/steel electrolytic rot, both tear drop light places here were like this |

A few places had bad rot on the outside skin
|
Description |
This was the worst place. I figured I would get a plate cute out of T2024 .032 Alclad that was the same shape and mount the new light fixture on that. Only thing is, to make the trailer look symetrical I had to do all four... |
