When I took off the rock guard and removed the duct tape I thought was holding in the plexiglass window found it was literally holding the window in and together or really the window just came apart with the tape due to becoming britle. |

Removed the Awning and just about killed myself trying to avoid dropping it. A lot heavier than I had thought it would be. Removed the horrible lindeen vent guards. Starting to look like a real Airstream again. |

So this is the frame rust just aft of the forward most outrigger about 18 inches or so from the front of the right frame rail. This piece of tape is stuck to a piece of wood that was stuck in the channel to re-inforce the frame where it had apparently cracked at some point. The whole is approx. 4-5 inches long by about 1-2 inches wide. But that doesn't really matter because the frame rail is just varied stages of rust and disintegration. |
