Still a few rivets to finish off
Still a few rivets to finish off
Description But basically back in one piece. As this is not going to be a traditional residential trailer we will patch all the holes with new aluminum pieces where there used to be vents, AC outlets etc etc before we paint. We want the inside to be a homogenous single area of warm color with windows.

Inner skin on around the door
Description You can see the panel on the other side of the door is one of the ones we stripped. The original plan was to polish the inside of the trailer. We gave up on that when we found how hard it is to remove the Zolatone. Not worth the effort. As mentioned in previous mail, we'll re-spray it

All inner skin back on
Description It looks like a trailer again!! The inner surfaces are very dirty (they were when the trailer was purchased) and the next task is to use a powersander to get a good surface and then to respray the inside. We have decided to do it rick dark red. Heh. A little er, "womb" like even! If we don't like it we'll re-do it another color...I have my own compressor

L shaped bracket by door frame
L shaped bracket by door frame
Description There were one of these on either side of the door frame. They were both completely rusted through. This is where all the stress is when the door is used - slammed by accident by the wind etc etc. I got 2 brackets and used hollow wall fixtures to fasten then through the floor. These were then riveted to the door frame as per the original. The difference in the structural integrity of the door frame was very noticeable.
