Forum Rally's - Anyone interested?

Is it possible to have a Forum Rally? This rally would be for all A/S owners, whether or not they are members of WBCCI. It could be a very informal get together of A/S lovers. Meet in different areas of the country where the desire is strong to get together and meet face to face.

Any other thoughts?

I'm always looking for an excuse to take off for a weekend. Can't do mid-week things, though, since my wife is a school teacher.

Great Idea!

Sounds good to me!

We seem to be spread out quite a bit though. They have these at www.irv2.com, also. Maybe we could combine one or two with them? I'm open for all ideas.

How about Wisconsin in July or August and Florida or Texas in January or February.
I think its a great idea, and would be nice to meet face to face with those who are members of the fourm.

The Rocky Mountains are pretty geographically central...

There is a forum rally of sorts in December for the Southern California members and friends. I think that generally this is a good idea. So far quite a few people have commited to it, including myself ( keep my fingers crossed business does not mess it up)
http://www.airforums.com/forum...=working+class

I think that just like the entire forum idea, it shold be driven by individuals, so if anyone anywhere wants to get together, or is going to a suitable place, just post the particulars and see if others want to join in. I will keep an eye out for future SoCal or neighboring state rallies.
I am planning a trip to the San Felipe Area in April/May 2003. i will post it in a seperate thread soon.

I'd really like to see some regional rallys of the airstreamforum members. I know there must be a few KY., TN. or AL. members who could make it to South Carolina or vice versa.

Smily,
That's the kind of response I like to see. I laughed when I saw your posted subject.

Lightbulb midwest Forum rally

For those of us who live in the upper midwest or thereabouts, maybe a Forum rally combined with a factory tour at Jackson Center, OH. I'd be game for trying to set something up if people were interested and would give me suggestions for dates (could be seasons or months). Maybe we could have the sticker choice made and stickers in place by whenever we rallied.

BTW, I like the idea of Forum rallies rather than just general A/S rallies. I'd like to meet in person some of the people who have been so helpful, either directly to me or through their knowledgeable posts. Just my .02 worth.

Meeting in Jackson Center, OH sounds neat. I would love to tour the factory! Count me in.

Apple 1, et al ~

I would be willing to arrange a location somewhere in our beautiful mountains if there are folks wanting to get together here. As long as it doesn't conflict with the Rocky Mountain VAC Rally, which will probably be in early August again...exact date yet to be determined.

Let me know if anybody else would be interested...

happy trails

Hi Shari,

Yi-pee-ki-yi-yi! I would be interested, nah-- thrilled to head west...I'll even try to drag my hubby along (promises of golf ).

I'm on the way to look at a "fixer-upper" Overlander nearby with a friend over the weekend. She'll be getting married in Colorado over the Holidays although they'll reside here in South Dakota. My guess is, given that I feel I can speak on their behalf on this occasion, you'll have two more there at least!

Naturally, I also extend my assistance as well....

Florida?

We could meet up with the "Flock" down there. You know, all those "old people in Forida who own Airstreams."
