Isuzu Diesel

I had an overheat problem going south on the greapvine in 100 + degree weather last June. I destroyed the 6Bd1 engine's piston(s) because of a boilover. I found a new "crate" 6BG1-T and had it installed. WOW!

6BG1-T

The new engine was manufactured in 1996, it is a turbo. The 6BG1-T is an industrial engine usually used in Diesel generators, etc. The original engine was non-turbo and was manufactured in 1978. The new engine is MUCH quieter, larger displacement and 40 more hp.
