I have a
1965 24' trade wind fore sale.
It hasn't been opened in 30 years or so until this past month!
It belonged to my father in law. He had it back while he was a single man. When he and his wife my mother in law got married it got parked behind their new home. It was emptied of the normal camper stuff and then was used to hold some "prized possessions" as well as a stack of tires because he didn't want to pay dump fees, along with radiators he thought he would one day scrap from dead vehicles over the years. My father in law past away going on 2 years ago now from a long battle with cancer and the family has talked about fixing up the airstream. That plan was never put in motion and now my mother in law finds herself in serious financial destress these days due to many unforeseen expenses in life and is having to sell her home and property of nearly 40 years. The property is to be sold AS IS including any remaining vehicles or trailers in 10 days. 03/25/2021
Most of the items inside have been removed aside from the factory installed equipment. If your really dedicated to gutting the trailer for cheep/free you can add all the remaining contents cabinets, table, sink, doors, bed, couch ext. of the trailer to a growing pile that has to go to the dump. The inside of the unit needs total rework. Just inside the door the floor is in terrible shape however the rest of the floor feels alright. The outside appears to be all there minus the awning. It still has all four wheels, both LP tanks, all the marker and break lights. I have no idea of the condition of any of the appliances other than I know they are there. I'm unaware of the condition of the holding tanks other than they are there. It has a couple of minor dents that I believe are an easy fix. It has been sitting for 30 years, so the outside needs a good washing. I moved the trailer a few feet a couple of years ago for my in laws. At that time it STILL had air in the tires. Would I drive any distance on them. No. The trailer is located in Belfair. My wife and I live in shoreline, my mother in law is staying with her other daughter and son in law in Bremerton. Between the 5 of us Ill make sure we can make whatever arrangements necessary.
