Blown GFI when using shore power

When I plug into shore power using 30 amp circuit I get no AC in trailer. If I use the 20 amp circuit the GFI breaks. Any ideas out there of what my problem could be?

Thanks for the reply. In the factory pre-wire they use 10 gauge wire. Not heavy enough for most (my) application. I need to use at least gauge wire. Thus the need for a hole.
