I took the plunge.

After much internal debate and fact finding, I took the leap required to make my 1960 Safari 22' basket case safe for the road.

The old axle/hydraulic brakes had to go.

Axle Offset Question

My 1960 Safari (single axle, 22') has a big drop offset on the axle. With out measuring, I'd say it's 3" off center.

Attached is a diagram.

This offset results in very little ground...
