Yes, I agree that you could use pretty much any lubricant that suits your fancy. I was just so happy to discover that it wasn't a mechanical issue with the 38 year old cabinets. Thanks for the input....

I am not familiar with the vinyl strip your talking about. My Minuet has a metal trim on it. If it's all vinyl, you might try a sign shop. It could probably be easily made up if that' all it is....
