I have had limited experience with ODWH , but in a Lance trailer I had ,was a Girard ODWH, it was a total piece of junk. VERY unreliable. Sold the trailer and never looked back for numerous reasons....

Mine has a small toggle switch in the cupboard next to the radio, it just turns off power when we're not using it . Absolutely no drain to the system and I don't have to look for the faceplate.
