Not much of a job really. I ran one axle on blocks, dropped the free axle bolted in the new one and then did the same on the other. I recommend using new bolts. I used 5/8 fine thread grade 8.

I believe WD-40 has chlorinated solvents so don't expect it to inhibit corrosion. My experience has been that just the opposite.
There are various products that work as well and have no chlorine....
